Woot, finished!!! And even faster than I thought as well as in time!!!
My contest entry for ’s Sailor Earth and Sailor Sun Contest
So this here is ( hopefully ) a pretty Sailor Sun, whose design I totally adore and love, especially her cool, golden staff *wanna have such a staff too* Pose was referenced from a very small picture of Sailor Pluto, so the anatomy is kinda screwed up here and there and I just realized that I can’t draw hands and fingers T_T ( also realized that I can’t draw stuff like pearls or lipstick at all )Also messed up her face and her eyes, but since I haven’t more time I couldn’t change that, but she still looks pretty I think! Especially love her hair with the curls She had been the biggest picture I drew so far, because even the lineart had to be done in six different parts and then got puzzled together in PS, which was a pain in the ass, especially with the staff, but I really like the end result a lot <3
Dunno, how coloring and shading turned out, because I have massive monitor problems atm, because the brightness always changes after a few minutes, which is kinda annoying ( really need a new monitor soon… ) So I dunno, if the colors look nice together and if the shading looks also nice or like crap T_T But I think that the shading is messed up like always XD Anyways, did color her in the colors of fire ( golden yellow, reds, oranges ) which resemble to me the color of the sun, since the sun is such a big fire ball XD Her outfit is a bit based off of my Sailor Leo design, but I just gave her some more accessories as well as some golden armor on her body as well as kinda strange looking boots, which I still love a lot And also like the transparent stuff as well ( I’ll tell you in her story how the transparent stuff turned blackish, since it had be white before ^^ )

But now on to her Stats ( added personality and a little story, so I hope you don’t mind ^.^ ):

Name: Mitsuko Asahi ( Mitsuko means “light child” or “shining child” and Asahi means “morning sun” )
Age: 20
Birthday: August 1st
Birthstone: diamond
Color: golden yellow
Techniques:
- Sun Beam: A bright and wide beam, which comes right from the centre of her staff, which blinds enemies and burns them to ash
- Sun Flash: A bright flash of light, which only blinds enemies, but doesn’t harm them
- Sun’s Fireball Kiss: A large fireball, resembling the sun, which comes from the centre of her staff and which burns her enemies
- Desert’s Kiss: Heats up the fighting place up to the temperature of the desert, causing heat illusions for the enemy as well as draining the enemies’ energy by the enormous heat
- Sun Crystal: ( similar to Sailor Moon’s silver crystal ) The sun crystal has enormous powers and can even restore things, which got damaged in battles, but using it has also a high cost, since the crystal will get destroyed afterwards and Sailor Sun will die then
- Sun Staff: The Sun Staff can also be used as a weapon in fights
Likes: Fire and heat, justice, love and peace, the sun XD, peaceful solutions instead of fights, day and daylight
Dislikes: night and rainy days, fights, loosing friends in fights, her harsh behaviour in fights at times
Personality: warm and kind hearted, would do anything for her friends or for her Sailors, but can also be very harsh in battles/fights ( is like the sun somehow: warm and friendly on one hand but also harsh and deadly on the other side )
Story:
Long, long time ago Sailor Sun and her universal Senshis fought against a form- and nameless dark power, which wanted to take control over the whole universe with its planets, turning all living things in emotionless demon slaves. The battles against that dark power had been cruel and almost half of Sailor Sun’s Senshis had lost their life in those brutal fights, making Sailor Sun feeling guilty. She had almost given up the fight, because she didn’t want to loose other close friends, but her other Senshis persuaded her to continue the fight, because without her the universe would have been lost and she also would betray those Senshis, who had lost their life by protecting and fighting for her. So Sailor Sun gathered her last remaining power in the final fight and had to use her sun crystal to seal that dark power away onto a dead asteroid. After her win the sun crystal broke into millions of pieces, which vanished into the sun, since the sun crystal wasn’t needed anymore so far, and Sailor Sun vanished as well. Her last five surviving Senshis were sent onto that asteroid as well to guard that the dark power would never be released again. So peace had returned that day to the universe…
But soon in the future the dark power managed to brainwash the remaining Senshi onto the asteroid by transferring itself into their bodies and turned them into dark and evil Senshi, who lust for power and control over the universe. Led by the strongest of them, which now called herself Sailor Darkness, they left the asteroid and headed directly to earth, which was the closest planet by, to start their conquering plans. So a new sun crystal got formed in the sun and was sent to earth to find the reincarnation of the once so great Sailor Sun, so that she could help the earth’s Senshis fighting against those evil Senshis.
One day a beautiful girl named Mitsuko Asahi found a beautiful brooch in the shape of the sun, since she actually was the reincarnation of Sailor Sun. She had no clue what to do with that brooch, but suddenly a demon, sent from the evil Senshis, attacked her and she transformed into Sailor Sun for the first time, after hearing a voice in her head, which told her what to do and who she would be. After defeating that demon memories from her past self showed up to her and now Sailor Sun had been reborn. But instead helping the other Senshi fighting against the dark powers, she decided to fight alone against them, since she didn’t want to lose some friends again, like in the past.
The more she fought, the more she changed back into her past self and even her Sailor Fuku changed as well, because those white transparent parts of her Fuku turned into greyish black after a lot of fights, because they absorbed the enemies’ ash just to show Sailor Sun’s power… And so the fight continued…


Well, hope you don’t mind that little story, even if it is a bit crazy XD Oh and btw, that Sailor Sun here’s evil, even if she looks nice and noble, because she killed my poor old com a lot of times as well as my drawing hand ( for those, who don’t know: I color by hand with a computer mouse T_T ) and she also gave me a lot of grey hairs T_T Nah, just kidding!!! XD XD XD Anyways, hope you like her and her design, even if it’s a bit rushed, but I like her a lot, so please leave some comments for her!!! ^_^
